Kayaking, Packrafting & Floating Sauna Experiences in Oslo

“Mad Goat’s mission is to provide you with a joyful experience on the water! Whether that’s jumping into the Oslo Fjord after a hot sauna, or exploring Oslo’s waterways by kayak, SUP, or packraft. We believe life is for living, hence why we encourage you to “Grab the Goat by the Horns” and get out there in the great outdoors! Nothing makes our team happier than seeing you having an awesome time on our kayaking, packrafting and floating sauna experiences in Oslo!”

What do we offer?

Mad Goats provides kayak, packraft, and stand-up paddle-board (SUP) courses, tours and rentals in central Oslo, on both the Oslo Fjord and the Akerselva River. Over 9 years ago Mad Goats were the first company to start guiding people down the iconic Akerselva River, which runs through the heart of Oslo, and out into Oslofjord. Over the years we have taken many 1000s of happy goats on this wonderful urban experience, creating memorable moments filled with laughs and smiles!

Mad Goats has 3 floating saunas in Oslo, located in Tjuvholmen, which are able to be booked private or publicly. Floating saunas in Oslo have become very popular as a lifestyle for locals, and for tourists to try an authentic nordic experience while visiting Norway.

Our locations:

Mad Goats operates out of two central locations: Tjuvholmen and Bjørvika. At our base in Tjuvholmen we provide floating sauna experiences, sea kayak tours on the Oslo Fjord, SUP and kayak rental. In Bjørvika we run our 3-hour and 2-day våttkort kayak courses and offer kayak rental on the Oslo Fjord. Our Akerselva Kayak & Packraft Tour starts from Nedre Foss Park in Grünerløkka and ends out on the Oslo Fjord beside the Oslo Opera House beach

We also have a small paddling base up in Sjoa, a world famous destination for whitewater kayaking and rafting. Here we offer kayak and packraft våttkort courses and tours, and have a hot tub and forest sauna that guests are welcome to use, and a place for you to pitch a tent/hammock.
