Info

Are you afraid that you do not have enough experience paddling a kayak? It is not required. This tour is suitable for adventurous families, beginners, as well as experienced paddlers. If you do not completely trust yourself, you can choose either to paddle your own kayak or in a double sea kayak, which is more stable.

Anyone under 12 must paddle with another (it can also be the case sometimes that youths over 12 years old will be put in a double kayak) and participants under 18 need permission from their guardians. Do you have questions about age limits? – Please just ask!
Practical information
  • Meet up with a water bottle, sun glasses and a smile.
  • You can store your personal belongings at our base, which will be locked.
  • Clothing: Shoes that can get wet – clothes that suit the weather conditions. We recommend woollen underwear on cold days. Rain clothes if it’s raining.
  • Wear waterproof pants/ rain pants if you want to completely avoid any water dripping from the paddle onto your lap.
  • The kayak guides will bring waterproof bags, where you can store food, clothing, or other valuables that you want to bring on the tour.
  • Have questions about your trip? Ask us – we will answer all your questions, and look forward to taking you on a real kayaking adventure!

History

AKERSHUS FESTNING: This fort can be seen overlooking Aker Brygge and the City Hall, the Rådhuset.

AKER BRYGGE: Once a maritime industrial hub, this is one of Oslo’s hotspots and all-time favourite for summertime bathing. From the Nobel Peace Centre to the Astrup-Fearnley modern art gallery, this ultramodern quay is a stark contrast to the fort on the opposite side.
