"Great kayak tour down the river into the fjord finishing by the opera house. Fun tour guides. Nice to see the river and the fjord at the same trip."

Info

Akerselva river tourStarting in the leafy-green Grünerløkka district, you will pass through Grønland & underneath the Oslo Central Station, paddle past the ultra-modern Munch Museum and finish the tour at the Opera House Beach. Akersleva River tour is fringed by modern and old buildings alike, crossed by historic bridges such as Ankerbrua and Vaterland, and even features a 500m long tunnel just before you reach the Oslo Fjord. Call us for any questions, if needed.

  • Our Akerselva River tour starts at Nordre Foss Park across the river from Mathallen. It is really easy to see us with all the kayaks but please call +47 400 80 440 if you  cannot find it.
  • You can leave your belongings in our van, which will be parked where you finish the tour at the beach next to the Oslo Opera House.
  • Why not book a sauna at SBHA or attend one of their drop-in sessions. This is our favourite activity after paddling!
  • You may get wet; you are hereby warned. Meet up with a towel, wool underwear if it is cold – and otherwise dress up for the weather conditions. We also recommend bringing a towel, spare change of clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting wet.
  • Wear swimwear or rain pants while in the kayak to avoid water dripping on your clothes.
  • If you want to go to the sauna after paddling, you can book and pay for this directly with SBHA. There’s also a grill at the sauna and you can bring food if you like, as well as beer or other drinks.
